Torrentismo

The activity consist of getting down different types of waterfalls with instruments of security like Ropes and harnesses, the people who practice this activity use safety techniques.

Colombia does not have stations and this facilitates that this sport could practise in any month of the year

The best places in Colombia, to practise torrentismo are:

1. Utica – Cundinamarca, with 5 waterfalls of 40, 50, 20, 20 y 60 Meters of height.
2. Melga – Tolima, with 2 waterfalls of 30 meters of height.
3. Tobia – Cundinamarca, “la bomba” This waterfall has 30 meters of height.
4. There are more spectacular waterfalls in San Gil y Mariquita.
